Holiday Tablescapes are the best way to kick off the holidays. Here are some ideas for any table during the holidays. Create your own work of art, while enjoying every minute of your table design makes it even more special.
Like a painting, during the holidays it is easy to turn any table into a work of art. First, we start at the center of our canvas by adding some pine needles for scent, a couple of candlesticks, and a few decorative candles in different shapes and sizes. These few items will set a relaxing ambient mood around the table.
Find themed decorative pieces to hand out to your guests as a memorable token. In this tablescape, vintage cars are placed on the plates for the guests to take home and hang on their tree or put on top of a mantle. There are a number of clever items and ideas to choose from, such as a small decorative candle, or even a goodie bag full of fine chocolates. Whatever you decide to give, I’m sure it will be appreciated. These gifts add a touch of giving and a creative expression of gratitude and love.
At this table, instead of a name card, I decided to use Ghirardelli Chocolate as a name holder. I like to use Sharpie Metallic Markers to write on the edge of the wrapper in lieu of a place card. Another good use for a Sharpie is to write out invitations, holiday cards, or gift tags. Add a touch of class with small bottles of S.Pellegrino, Sparkling water to your tablescape.
Another great idea for homemade name tags is to pick the best leaves from your backyard, simple and fresh! Not a bad idea to place your pine needle arrangement to accentuate your origami-shaped napkins.
Finally, there are many ways to brighten your table for the holidays, but most importantly is to cherish every moment with those gathered around your masterpiece.
From my family to yours, Happy Holidays! Vanessa Deleon Bournias xoxo
