Vanessa DeLeon

Inspired by her Cuban roots, Vanessa is as influential as her Art Deco styling rooted in her cultural composition. Deleon’s innovative sensibility combined with a keen eye for detail resulted in her signature design style, “GLAMILISTIC,” where she combines streamline elements with minimalism resulting in a rich and glamorous style. Vanessa’s modern and stylized interiors incorporate classic décor, specializing in high-end residential homes, commercial venues, and hospitality facilities.

Immediately after graduating from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology, Vanessa landed a job with Ralph Lauren and worked part-time in the family furniture business as in-house Designer. Before long her design work was in demand, forcing her to quit her job with Ralph Lauren to pursue a full-time job in the family business. As her popularity rose, Vanessa branched out on her own, creating Vanessa Deleon Associates. While attending Berkeley College for Interior Design, she took an interest in the Asian art of design, which led her to continue her studies in the art of Feng Shui at the Feng Shui Institute of America.

Recent ventures include the branding and licensing of Vanessa Deleon. As a powerful and successful brand, Vanessa Deleon is perceived as an influential, marketable brand name. She has established a relationship with manufacturers, most recently as a contributing expert for an Angel Soft ad campaign, Sherwin Williams, also as a product designer for Rizzy Homes, Tile Bar and Ricca Lighting. Vanessa is continuously increasing possibilities for both herself as well as her company. Vanessa is embracing her Hispanic roots by branching out to the Latin community and partnering with the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of NJ. Furthermore, she was the recipient of the 2014 Latina Trail Blazer Award for her efforts in the community.

Her impressive resume includes her most recent competition on NBC’s American Dream Builders. A featured designer on the hit shows Restaurant Impossible-The Food Network, HGTV’s Generation Renovation, Designer Challenge, Bang for your Buck, Design Star, DIY’s Rev Run’s Renovation, Ice Loves Coco, and Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing. She has made guest appearances on The Better Show, NBC’s Today Show, and is a contributing designer for Open House NYC. Vanessa had a segment on PIX 11 “Vanessa to the Rescue” and was a featured host and designer for You Tube’s Channel Spaces TV ” Your Place is a Deal Breaker”. In 2007, the IFDA and legendary Jaime Drake named Vanessa the Rising Star of Interior Design. She has also appeared in several publications such as New York Spaces, Design NJ, (201) Home, Latina Magazine, Time, Entertainment, Cosmopolitan and Bella Petite. In addition, she is the featured Design Editor for several publications. Public appearances included a tour as the Ikea spokesperson for “How to” seminars in multiple cities across the USA and hosting design clinics at the Casa Latina Home Expo.

Vanessa is an allied member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), IIDA (International Interior Design Association), IFDA (International Furnishings and Design Association) and SCCH-NJ (Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of NJ).
